New Year’s Resolutions REVELATIONS
Another New Year’s Resolution? Heck NO. How about we create a New Year Revelation? Did you know it takes 21 days to create a “habit”? Good or bad. Well, I am here to support, enlighten and cheer you on as you move through 2012 with “new and exciting habits.” Here are the first four weeks of my 16 week The Ultimate Transformation program.
As Utah’s #1 Life coach, Nutritionist and Fitness expert, I am going to literally move and motivate you with these incredible new “revelations” and habits.
Research shows that making resolutions are quite useful. Our mind is a very powerful tool and it can make or break our goals within the first week or it can keep us focused.
Nutrition is always a main component to my programs and at Meals That Transform we make yummy organic meals that nourish your body, mind and your being.
Let’s get started:
WEEK 1 Be Mindful
What do you say to yourself when you make a goal? Are you a cheerleader or the negative nelly? What do you feed your body and your mind? Affirmations are one of the most powerful tools that most people don’t even utilize on a daily basis. So repeat these words, quietly to yourself, every day for one week. Also put them on post-its around the house.
- “I am fabulous, I am powerful and I will achieve my goals! “ Self talk has to be positive and inspiring. It has to lift you up not bring you down. Work on this for 1 week before moving on to the next step. Rid yourself of self limiting behaviors.

WEEK 2 - Realistic NOT Pessimistic
Set goals that you know you can achieve in 4 week increments. Don’t attempt to run a marathon, before you can even walk a mile. Set simple goals and increase them as time goes by.
- This is a great time to get your nutrition back in order. Starting with a week of Fresh, Organic meals from Meals That Transform will get you physically and mentally balanced and ready to conquer the New Year.
- Let’s get a bit physical. You can break it down into 15 minute increments with my Chi Yoga that will help you cleanse and get limber. You will be AMAZED at how flexible and strong you become in a short period of time.

Week 3 – Envision the Vision
Now that you’ve created these powerful revelations and you’re implementing both mentally and physically, it’s time to create your vision board.
- Vision boards are very powerful tools. DO NOT put a super model on your board. Get Fitness, home décor, or cooking magazines and cut out things that resonate with you. Your board doesn’t have to be huge. Even smaller one’s work in powerful ways. Believe it or not, vision boards help your mind create a more positive self-image, by affirming your vision of what you desire and deserve.

WEEK 4- My Transformation in Action
Now you’ve really begun to make things happen. It is the end of January and you’ve kept your commitment to your lifestyle goals. Continue this week with steps 1, 2 & 3. These bite size triumphs are creating the ultimate YOU.

WEEK 5: Hydration & Pampering
Now that you’ve increased your body movement, make sure you’re aware of your hydration. You should be drinking 6-8 glasses of water.
o Keep water at your desk at all times, and take a plastic bottle with you to work. Keep it full.
o Drink green or herbal teas. At least one or two a day. Keep the sugar low. And try Agave as a sweetener. It’s magnificent.
Keep yourself pampered, you’ve earned it. Try my lavender bath salts in your bath once a week, get more massages, rub yummy creams on yourself and massage it in (circulation). Use your affirmations during this time. Especially close to bed time.

WEEK 6 - Detoxify- Home, Mind, Body, Being
Go through your closets, pantry, fridge and cupboards. Throw out any items that are going to get you off track, clothing that you don’t wear, and food’s that are bad or old (fattening) and organize your cupboards. Pick a project a weekend over the next four weeks. You’ll be amazing what a good cleansing of old items does for the soul.

Week 7 – Chi Yoga Flow
You’ve been moving steadily these last few weeks and now you can increase yoga moves to 3 times per week, for 20 minutes. Check out our Chi-Yoga moves on my website or Healthy Utah on ABC4.
You can do these Chi-Yoga moves in your business suit or pajama’s. It will teach you how to harness your energy, tighten your abs, increase more mobility and better flow of energy overall.

Week 8– Great Minds Think Alike
Find A Friend: Connect with someone that will support you in your new lifestyle and you can bring them in and share this incredible your new adventures. You can even start your own walking group or become a member of a local Hiking Club. Getting connected with like-minded, healthy individuals is very powerful.
You’ve increased your body movement, drinking your water and teas and pampering yourself.
Add 3 minutes of Manifestation Meditation for the first week and increase by 3 minutes a day for the remaining 3 weeks.

Week 10 – Detoxify- Home, Mind, Body, Being & BILLS
You’ve cleaned your closets, pantry, fridge and cupboards.
Add cleaning your bills to this grand scenario. Clean your filing cabinets, organize old bills, prepare for taxes and put your finances in order.
You’ve increased your yoga moves to 3 times per week, for 20 minutes. Now we’re going to add a foam roller.
Welcome to Week 11 of your 16 Week Ultimate Transformation. This week Angela Martindale has added a foam roller workout to you Chi Yoga Flow Series. These workouts will help alleviate soreness, muscle knots and keep you moving freely for years to come.

Week 12 – Great Minds Think Alike & GET MORE CONNECTED
You’re never too old to entertain, dance, dine out and share your new healthy eating habits. Grab your hubby and get out, or even dance and dine at home.
Throw a fabulous healthy pot luck party and ask your friends to cook up something yummy and healthy to share and talk about with each other.
Week 13 – Nutrition

You have created a plan that works with your schedule, one you can sustain, and you are continuing your success in all areas of your life. Congratulations. Keep it up. Your transformation does not stop here.
Continue to stay connected and bring your friends and family into your new life and share the program. Perhaps they need a transformation and you can guide them on how to: Envision Your Vision and Hydrate. Eat well, Meditate and Chi Yoga Flow. You feel GREAT and so will they.
