Positive Affirmations
Born with a possible life-threatening port wine stain birthmark, Angela was bullied throughout her childhood. Fortunately, Angela was raised by loving and encouraging parents, so that at home, she never felt any different than others. With this love and encouragement as a backdrop, she grew to learn how to have empathy for others by becoming kinder to herself.
Angela says, “You can be your own best friend or your worst enemy. Remind yourself constantly of how amazing you are.”
She suggests putting up “I AM” signs everywhere, so you're reminded to be the best version of yourself every day.

How moms can understand what their kids need, and that you don’t have to be a nutritionist to lead them into health and wellness.
The need to ask the right questions and understanding exactly what is happening to your body
Looking within and knowing that wellness is a process; you can’t achieve optimum health in one day
Being specific about what you want to happen with your life, in terms of health and wellness
Helping moms de-stress and reconnect with their authentic self
Don't Get Fancy
Angela suggests working on meeting basic nutrition and hydration. You don’t need to be a nutritionist or a chef to deliver the best care for the ones you love. All is you need to do is understand what your body needs and how it reacts to the things you feed it.
Think of long-term goals because truth be told, wellness is a process. As Angela puts it, you can’t expect to lose weight all of a sudden if you eat a single apple today. It takes time and effort and patience – and of course, consistency.
Wellness Is Happiness
Being grateful is the key to unlocking a life of wellness. Angela states you'll know you’ve achieved wellness when there is a vibrant energy that flows through you. You don’t have to be the richest, the fanciest, or the best – you just have to be at peace and at home with who you are and what you have.
Moms have the most difficult time dealing with this; especially because of societal pressure – and Angela wants to remind all mothers out there that you are not alone and that you have support.
